The Tesla CD Turbine is my latest invention. It’s a Tesla -style turbine made from recycled CD’s, CD cakebox, magnets, a nozzle, and glue.
What started off as almost a joke gadget (the Skilsaw Attachment) has blossomed into a usable and educational tool (the Kitchen CD Turbine and the SinkScience Series).
And there’s the cool Steampunk versions as well.
The Steampunk PumpkinCutter, and Steampunk Parlour Room Tesla CD Turbines have taken form.
The Tesla CD Turbine changes as the perception of its place in the world changes. It is so versatile and adaptable that it can fit the circumstance at hand.
For Halloween, it transforms into the fearsome Steampunk Laser PumpkinCutter at 120 psi air pressure.
At Thanksgiving, it becomes the domesticated but versatile Kitchen Turbine at 50 psi faucet water pressure.
What is next for the Tesla CD Turbine, I can’t tell. But I do know... it will only get more interesting as things go along!
